Nilanjana Banerjee is inspirational. She holds a unique teaching style while maintaining the authenticity of the Odissi dance tradition. She is not only encouraging and patient with students at the beginner’s stage but she also shares her extensive knowledge with students of all levels. What is special about her teaching method is that she incorporates strengthening exercises and focuses on flexibility of the students to help improve technique. She is clear cut and thorough. I look forward to my next lesson with her and I highly recommend RDM Studio for anyone who is eager to learn Odissi dance.

Nilanjana is a wonderful teacher. I decided to revisit Odissi after many years and she made it seem very easy. I never imagined online learning would be as benefiting as an on-site one. I look forward to our classes every weekend. Additionally, she has a digital library with all the dance steps and exercises, so I practice whenever I have time. I like how dedicated Nilanjana is to her students, whether they have a dance background or don’t. We send her videos and she is quick to reply and send her feedback. I absolutely recommend attending a class and getting an experience.

I am trained in classical dance and decided to learn a different discipline with RDM Studio! Nilanjana Banerjee is a delight to learn from. She herself is a fabulous and dedicated dancer and makes learning so much fun and at a great pace! I have seen how the dedication to the art has taken off from the sole student to a full fledged stage show with multiple dancers and an online school!
I would recommend this form of dance with RDM to anyone willing to learn a graceful dance art!

Nilanjana is an amazing teacher who not only has the skill and knowledge of the dance but also a passion for the history and art of Odissi. RDM has been a wonderful place for me to learn Odissi from a kind, approachable and loving teacher who is truly passionate and dedicated to her craft. During COVID many of us were unable to work in person but Nila was already set up to teach online. She showed her true dedication to supporting students during time of financial challenges by dropping her rates and even offering free classes for an extended period. To Nila this is much more than a way to make an income, this is her life mission, to teach people to dance. For me Odissi has been incredibly healing, its been the way in which I’ve been able to connect directly with spirituality through movement. The Mudras themselves are healing adding in the spiritual grace of the dance and poses. I am blessed to have met Nila and been a part of this teaching. Thank you! and I hope you all get to experience it as well.

Nila is a very warm-hearted and skilled Odissi dancer. Her sincerity and dedication to her art are truly inspiring. And her ability to teach the ancient art of Odissi Dance, both in person and online, are outstanding. I started studying Odissi Dance with Nila five months ago and it has changed my life. She also is creating short videos for every dance step, technique, and mudras for her students. Nila is a joy to learn with.
